Frequently Asked Questions

What is CookTravelEat?

CookTravelEat is an independent food and travel publication covering culinary travel, global recipes, and mindful eating. We write for people who travel with their appetite and cook with curiosity — not for people following strict diets or looking for the fastest meal possible.

Are your recipes tested?

Yes. We don't publish recipes that haven't been made and eaten. When we feature a recipe from a contributor, we require confirmation that it's been tested and accurate. If there are variations or substitutions that affect the outcome, we note them.

How do you choose the destinations and dishes you cover?

We follow our contributors' actual experiences. If a writer went to Lyon, ate well, and has something specific and honest to say about it — that's what we publish. We don't manufacture coverage of places nobody on our team has been to.

Can I submit a recipe?

Yes — pitch it first. Tell us about the recipe, its origin, and what you want to say about it. A good recipe feature on CookTravelEat includes the story as much as the method. See our pitch guidelines for how to reach us.

Do you have dietary or allergen filters?

We tag content with relevant dietary information (vegetarian, gluten-free, dairy-free, etc.) where applicable. We're a general food publication, not a specialty diet site, so our coverage is mixed.

Do you accept guest posts?

We work with contributors, not guest bloggers. There's a difference: contributors pitch specific stories, we edit them, and they publish under their name as part of our editorial product. See our pitch guidelines for details.

Can I republish or translate your content?

No, without written permission. To discuss licensing, reach us through our contact form.

Is CookTravelEat affiliated with any restaurants, tourism boards, or food brands?

We occasionally work with tourism boards and brands on sponsored content, which is always clearly disclosed. Our editorial coverage is independent — we don't accept payment for positive reviews or coverage decisions.
